A man is arrested for sexual assault under the influence of cocaine and alcohol in Roquetas de Mar

The Civil Guard has arrested a man in Roquetas de Mar (Almería) accused of attempting to rape a woman.
According to information provided by the Command of Almería, the events occurred in mid-August, when the 112 service of Andalucía received a call for help from a woman who was trapped in her home. Several patrol cars immediately rushed to the scene, alerted by the cries for help coming from inside.
Upon arrival, the officers could hear the victim's cries for help and, through a window, they saw a naked man, who was allegedly abusing the woman. Despite noticing the presence of the guards, the attacker did not stop his attempt to attack her.
The window grille had to be broken so that the officers could enter the home and proceed with the arrest of the suspect. The suspect, who showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol and drugs , resisted and caused minor injuries to one of the officers during the struggle.
At the scene, authorities found evidence that corroborated the use of drugs , including several doses of cocaine . After the suspect was arrested, he was taken into custody and brought before the local Court of Instruction number 6.
The Territorial Team of Judicial Police activated the corresponding protocol for this type of cases, transferring the victim to the University Hospital of Poniente of El Ejido, where he received medical attention and an examination by the on-call forensic doctor.
The judge, after considering the facts and circumstances of the arrest, ordered the detainee to be placed in provisional prison .
