Research on health management in Andalusia
A judge in Seville has made the decision to investigate the management of the Government of Juan Manuel Moreno Bonilla, President of the Andalusian Government, regarding the emergency health contracting of the Andalusian Health Service (SAS) during the last four years.
According to reports submitted by La Ser, the 13th investigating judge of Seville, Javier Santamaría, has notified Valle García, current manager of SAS, as well as former managers Diego Vargas and Miguel Ángel Guzmán, that they are being investigated and that they have the right to appear in the judicial proceedings.
The case has been opened at the request of the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office and the PSOE Andalusian , who have requested an exhaustive analysis of the management and contracts that could be involved in a possible crime of administrative prevarication .
The magistrate has requested that the entire file related to the contracts approved by the Governing Council since October 6, 2020 , be submitted . This request aims to review the decisions that have replaced prior control with permanent financial control of certain expenses, bodies and services.
The Andalusian Health Service has also been asked to submit all files that have been managed through emergency procedures between 2021 and 2023. This will allow a clear assessment of how decisions have been made in critical situations and whether they have complied with current legislation.
