The Government allocates almost 746 million in weapons and only 200 million in the Young Rental Bonus

Since the beginning of the political course under the Government of Pedro Sánchez, Several meetings of the Council of Ministers have been held focusing on national defence. To date, four meetings have been held, where key decisions have been taken regarding the acquisition of weapons and other essential materials for the Spanish Armed Forces.
In total, the approved acquisitions amount to 746 million euros , which highlights the Government's commitment to maintaining a robust defence. This figure is much higher than the allocation of 200 million euros per year provided for by the so-called Young Rental Bonus in the General State Budget.
The Ministry of Defense, under the direction of Margarita Robles, The United States has established various agreements to strengthen military capabilities. Among these, the acquisition of ammunition stands out, which reached a value of 92.1 million euros and guarantees the supply of cartridges necessary to ensure the success of tactical exercises and peacekeeping missions.
Additionally, on 17 September , a contract was signed for the purchase of hand grenades, valued at 33 million euros . This agreement focuses on maintaining the operational capacity of the units in various activities, thus ensuring effectiveness in both training missions and peacekeeping operations.
September 10 was a crucial day, as several contracts were approved, including one for the maintenance of Air Force aircraft, with an estimated budget of 32 million euros , as well as another for the acquisition of combat visors for 23.9 million euros . These devices are vital to guarantee the security and operational efficiency of the forces in national territories and on international missions.
One of the most significant acquisitions was the purchase of uniforms, which totalled 297.5 million euros . This budget is not only intended to keep the troops in optimal condition for the performance of their duties, but also to meet the needs of new personnel in training.
Finally, the contract for the acquisition of a multipurpose vessel, essential for replacing obsolete Navy units, valued at 24 million euros , stands out . An agreement was also approved for the purchase of heavy logistics transport vehicles, with an estimated value of 203.8 million euros , which according to them, will improve the Army's logistics and efficiency in various operations.
