Another VOX beach bar dissents

Year 2023, neither in the electoral field nor in theeconómico, the party managed to stand out as it had done in previous years. However, despite these setbacks, its foundation, Disenso, appears to have weathered the slump without experiencing significant problems, as it continued to receive from the party the amounts previously stipulated since its creation and, in fact, increased its spending on salaries and other operating expenses.
The party's accounts, which were shared with its members in June, showed that during this election year, Vox suffered a loss of income of two million euros. The most worrying thing is that more than half of its members were not up to date with their membership fees. This forced Vox to resort to acréditoof nine million euros. This loan, requested from banking entities, was vital to finance their electoral campaigns, with the expectation that the public administrations would repay it once the electoral process was concluded, something that many critics have described as "opaque" . In other words, another scam VOX which will ultimately have to be paid for with public money?
However, despite the economic difficulties that the party faced, the transfers to Disenso continued on a regular basis. Since 2021, Vox had annually allocated 2.5 million euros to the foundation.
The accounts of Disenso for the year 2023 reveal an unusually high expenditure for a think tank. In contrast to what might be considered spending restraint in difficult times, Disenso reported a significant increase in salaries and contracts with third parties. In total, 2.8 million euros were available, with the majority of expenditure concentrated on personnel costs (1.2 million) and other costs (1.4 million).
A notable aspect among the other expenses was the large outlay in“servicios de profesionales independientes”, the details of which have eluded being specified despite requests to this effect.
Disenso currently has 26 employees, of which only one belongs to senior management, its director,Jorge Martín Frías. In 2022, Frías received a salary of 85,000 euros, which increased to 91,000 euros in 2023. The average expenses per employee inDisensowas 46,000 euros, contrasting significantly with the average salary in Spain of 26,500 euros for the same year.
The audit indicates that employers do not receive allowances or salaries, with the management of the board in charge of the employer himself. Santiago Abascal.
Since its founding in 2020, Disenso has recorded significant revenues, having received an initial capital of 30,000 euros, in addition to receiving around nine million euros from the party to date. This constant flow of funds highlights a financing dynamic that exceeds what is usual for similar structures linked to other parties.
