Health crisis in Andalusia
The recent health emergency facing Andalusia due to the West Nile Virus has put the region on alert. With a new confirmed fatality, the seventh since the beginning of this outbreak, health authorities are under pressure to contain the spread of this virus. Despite the efforts of the municipalities, the number of deaths continues to increase. Andalusia has detected mosquitoes carrying the virus in different provinces, includingSevilla, Cadiz, Huelva, Cordoba, Jaen and Malaga. However, all the fatalities have occurred in Seville, except for one case in Navarra that was contracted during a visit to Utrera.
Increase in cases
In the last week, seven new cases were reported, all in the province of Seville, highlighting the concentration of the virus in this area.
