The president of the Partido Popular, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, is preparing to travel to Rome. This trip aims to meet with the Italian Prime Minister, the neo-fascist Giorgia Meloni, this Thursday.
A fundamental aspect that has characterized the policy of Meloni is their focus on anti-immigration policies. Feijóo has repeatedly praised these efforts, highlighting the need for a coordinated approach at European level to address the migration issue.
According to the PP, Italy has managed to reduce regular migration. During their meeting, it is expected that Feijóo and Meloni discuss the strategies implemented in Italy, as well as their possible adaptation in other European countries.

This is considered a drastic adjustment that places many migrants in a vulnerable situation and is a fact that has alarmed human rights associations.
The detention period for those sentenced to expulsion has also been increased to the maximum legal limit allowed by the European Union: 18 months .
